About Us
Peconic Community School (PCS) is a non-profit 501(c)3, independent, progressive Early Childhood through 8th grade school founded in 2012. The school uses place-based, community-focused, project-based learning to infuse its mission of fostering reflective, resilient and compassionate learners in a safe, trusting environment. PCS’s overall vision is that education can and will make the world a better place. For the past 12 years, PCS has been educating students using their community and environment as a launching pad for their studies and exploration. Peconic Community School is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools.
