
Please bring a lawn chair and join Southold Historical Museum on the beautiful grounds of the Horton Point Lighthouse for a thrilling lecture titled “"History of the Holland Submarine" by Ray Nofi.
The lecture, overlooking the Sound, is at 2pm on Saturday, August 5 and is part of the Summer Lighthouse Lecture Series.
Mr. Nofi, chair of the Lighthouse Committee, will discuss the history of this famous submarine tested in the waters off New Suffolk.
The lecture is presented by Southold Historical Museum and is free to attend. You can bring a lunch to eat at our picnic tables beforehand, and the lighthouse museum ($5 donation) with exhibits on Bootlegging, Whaling and Maritime History will be open, as will the viewing tower!
Note there is a $5 per car parking fee for non-residents.
